Hunter Engineering Company (“Hunter”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) has set out below some important highlights of the Privacy Policy for our webservice (“HunterNet”). What Personal Data About Customers Does HunterNet Gather?
The information we learn from customers helps us personalize and continually improve the quality of Hunter equipment. Here are the types of personal data we gather:
- Personal Data You Give Us: We receive and store portions of information you enter to the HunterNet system, provide to internet-connected Hunter products, by corresponding with us by phone, e-mail, in person or at trade shows or events or otherwise. Examples of the information we process include your request, name, title, address and telephone number, email address, purchase information, fax number, business-related information, preferences provided by Internet activity, survey responses, and the name of the company you work for. You can choose not to provide certain information. We use the information that you provide for such purposes as responding to your requests, improving the website, improving our equipment, and communicating with you.
- Personal Data Your Browser Provides: Your web browser provides information that we collect and analyze, including the Internet Protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the internet.
- Personal Data We Receive From Other Sources: We also receive information about you from other websites we operate or the other services we provide. In this case, we will have informed you when we collected that data if we intend to share that data internally and/or combine it with data collected on this site. We also receive information from third parties including, for example, website partners, business partners, sub-contractors in technical and delivery services, advertising networks, analytics providers, search information providers, lead generators, data aggregators, social media platforms, and credit reference agencies. We utilize third-party analytics to collect information about use of this site. Such third-party analytics collect information such the frequency of user visits this site, what pages users visit when they do so, and what other sites they visited prior to coming to this site. We use the information we get from third party analytics only to improve this site.
- Data Received From Vehicle Service Equipment: As part of the functional operation of some internet-connected vehicle service and inspection equipment configured to access and utilize the features provided by Hunternet, measurements, vehicle service records, unique vehicle identifiers, and other data communicated from Hunter internet-connected vehicle service and inspection equipment owned by third parties may be collected, input, processed, and stored through HunterNet services. This may include vehicle-specific data such as vehicle measurements, vehicle identifiers, and vehicle configurations, as well as equipment operating parameters and settings collected during the operation of the equipment and other compatible systems (collectively, “Service Data”). Non-Personal Data Collection
Collection and Processing of Non-Personal Data
When you visit our website, we automatically collect the following non-personal data: IP addresses, the website from which you visit us (referrer), pages viewed, files downloaded (downloads), videos viewed/audio tracks listened to, individual links clicked, search words or search phrases (site search), computer and connection information such as browser type and version, operating system, and platform, the full Uniform Resource Locators (URL) to, through, and from our website, including date and time, etc. If the visit is a result of online advertising such as banners, video ads, search engine advertising, etc., we may record which banner, adword, etc. motivated the visit to HunterNet website. The HunterNet website does not respond to, or recognize, “do not track” browser headers or requests.

HunterNet is not directed towards children under 13 years of age and Hunter Engineering Company does not knowingly collect or use personal data from children under 13 years of age.

How Is Personal Data Used By Us?
We use personal data held about you to fulfill or meet the reasons you provided the information, as well as in the following ways:

- Providing Vehicle Services: to facilitate the normal and intended operation of internet-connected vehicle service and inspection equipment in accordance with the equipment owner’s use of such equipment, which may include automated lookup of vehicle configurations and storage of a vehicle service record.
- Protecting our Rights and Property: to maintain the safety, security, and integrity of our websites, products, services, databases and other assets, to protect our rights or property or those of our business partners, suppliers, customers or others when we have reasonable grounds to believe that such rights or property have been or could be affected; to recover debts; to prevent, detect, identify, investigate, respond, and protect against potential or actual claims, liabilities and prohibited behavior or activities.
- Analytics: to request and receive from you information regarding your relationship with us in the form of surveys, for the US, this data may be used for marketing and analytic purposes. Anonymized data may be used to understand how users interact with our sites, to develop and offer more relevant and useful services and products, and to improve the products and services we offer.
- As Permitted By Law: We use personal data as permitted or required under applicable law. We also may use and disclose this information in de-identified form for any other legally permissible purposes.

Retaining Personal Data
How Long Is Personal Data Retained?
Data collected through Hunter Engineering Company websites is destroyed, erased from our systems, or anonymized 12 months after the data has been submitted or refreshed by a user. We do not charge a fee to process or respond to your verifiable consumer request or access request, as applicable, unless it is excessive, repetitive, or manifestly unfounded. If we determine that the request warrants a fee, we will tell you why we made that decision and provide you with a cost estimate before completing your request.
